Brick Breaker: The Ultimate Challenge is the old paddle and ball formula done straight. Keep the ball bouncing, hit the bricks, and clear the board. Some bricks give way at once, while others need a few hits before they break.
If you grew up with Arkanoid or Breakout, this will feel like home. It is filed in our Arkanoid category, and you can play it with the mouse or with a finger on a phone.
Breaking the bricks
Slide the paddle along the bottom of the screen so the ball bounces back up. Each brick it strikes takes damage, and the level is cleared once all the breakable ones are gone. A few bricks need several hits. If the ball slips past the paddle, you lose it. On a phone, a finger does the job of the mouse.
Brick breaking tips
- Where the ball meets the paddle decides its angle, so use the ends for sharper shots.
- Try to open a gap into the top rows, a ball trapped up there does a lot of work.
- Keep your eyes on the ball, not the bricks, when it comes back down.
