One wrong move and you start over
An obstacle game is really a level designer showing off. Spikes, gaps, ramps and moving blocks are placed so that the obvious path fails and the right one takes a few tries to find. The courses collected here do that on foot, on wheels and in the air. Most courses take several attempts, which is easier to accept when the game is free.
Runners are the easiest to pick up. Tomb Runner and Minion Rush keep you moving forward while you jump or slide past whatever comes at you. Wheels bring physics into it. Moto X3M 4 Winter and Truck Trials are about balance over rough ground, where landing badly costs you the run.
For a slower puzzle feel, Fireboy and Watergirl 3 in The Ice Temple turns obstacles into switches, doors and dangerous pools you have to cross with two characters. Color Line and Skater kid are also in the top list, and like most games here they run on phones.
