Temple Jewels takes the usual swap and match idea and adds a twist to the board itself. Some levels are built from triangles, others from squares or hexagons, and only part of each grid starts out colored. Those colored cells are what you have to wipe out.
The shape changes make each new board feel a little different, which is the main draw here. It sits with our other Match 3 puzzles. Being HTML5, it loads just as happily on a touchscreen as on a laptop.
Clearing the colored tiles
Line up three or more identical jewels so they vanish. A match only helps with the goal when it happens on a colored tile, since that removes the color underneath. The level is done once no colored tile is left on the board, whether the grid is made of triangles, squares or hexagons.
Tips for Temple Jewels
- Look at where the colored tiles are before your first move and aim your matches there.
- On hexagon and triangle grids, check every direction a line can run, not just left to right.
- Leave the last few colored cells for last only if you can see a match that will reach them.
