Opposites Attract Mobile takes the familiar tile clearing idea and gives it a twist that makes you think for a second longer. Instead of hunting for two identical tiles, you pair up tiles whose meanings are opposites. We keep it with the Mahjong Games, since the layout behaves much like one.
That small change turns a quick matching game into a little word and picture puzzle. The free browser version is happy on a desktop, and your phone copes with it just as well.
How the pairs work
Look over the layout and find two tiles that mean the opposite of each other, then select both to remove them. Only tiles that are free and highlighted can be used, so a tile covered by others has to wait. Keep making opposite pairs until the board is clear. As in classic mahjong solitaire, the order in which you remove pairs matters, because it decides which tiles become free next.
Clearing the board
- Before you pick a pair, check whether another tile would be freed by a different choice.
- Say each tile's meaning in your head, the opposite often jumps out faster that way.
- Clear tiles that are stacked high first, low tiles on the edge rarely block anything.
