Illuminate 1 is a circuit puzzle. There is a main battery, a set of lamps and a tangle of wire pieces between them, and the lights only come on once every lamp is linked to that battery.
Each click turns one piece of wire, which makes it a close cousin of the classic pipe connection puzzles. Tapping works just like clicking, so it sits comfortably on a small screen. There are more puzzles about linking paths in Pipes And Roads.
Getting the lamps to light
Click a wire piece to rotate it, or tap it on a touchscreen. Turn the pieces until an unbroken path runs from the battery to every lamp on the board. Once all the lamps are connected, the lights switch on and the puzzle is solved.
Solving it faster
- Start from the battery and work outward one piece at a time.
- Corner and edge pieces often have only one position that makes sense, so set them first.
- Follow each dark lamp's wire back toward the battery to find the piece that breaks the path.
