Instructions: Use your mouse to play this game.
Colored sand takes the place of paint and crayons in Betsy's Crafts: Summer Sand Painting, a coloring game with a crafty twist. Each picture comes to life as the sand goes in.
It is calm and creative, the kind of game where there is no wrong answer. Younger players can find it with our coloring games, and it is also part of the kids section. It is HTML5, so a click on the play button is all it takes to begin, and every picture ends up as your own small piece of sand art.
Painting with sand
Work on the picture in front of you and fill it in with sand. Choose colors for the different parts of the image and watch the drawing appear as the sand goes in. When you are happy with how it looks, your painting is finished.
Sand art tips
- Decide the color of each area before you start filling.
- Try strong contrasts, sand pictures look best when neighboring colors differ.
- Start with the big areas and finish with the small details.
