Back to Candyland Episode 3: Sweet River picks up the candy series with a trip across the water to a mysterious island. The story is light, the real draw is the puzzle, a board full of sweets that you clear by matching colors. It fits right into our Color Matching section.
As a third episode it will feel familiar if you played the earlier ones, and easy to learn if you did not. Sweet River costs nothing, and the board suits a touch screen well.
Matching candy colors
The series follows the usual match three idea. Trade places between two adjacent pieces of candy to form a group of three or more in one color. That group disappears and fresh sweets fall in. Larger groups take out more at once, so keep an eye out for them.

- Check the whole board for four in a row before taking a quick three.
- Matches near the bottom shuffle more candy, which can set up free combos.
- Give the board a moment after each cascade before your next move.
