2020 Connect is a logic puzzle built from ideas you may know from 2048 and Merged. Blocks carry numbers, and when at least four with the same value sit next to each other, they merge. That small rule leads to a lot of planning, which is why it fits our Numbers section.
The fun is in building chains that grow into bigger and bigger values. It is free to play, and on a touch screen you place blocks with your finger.
Merging the numbers
Place blocks on the board so that four or more carrying the same number end up touching. They merge into one, and the board opens up again. The skill is in arranging your placements so that each merge sets up the next, rather than filling the grid with scattered values that never meet.
Planning your merges
- Keep equal numbers clustered together instead of spread out.
- Leave a free cell beside any group that needs just one more block.
- Avoid scattering low numbers around, they block space you will need later.
