1000 Blocks gives the block puzzle a clear goal per level. You place shapes on the grid as usual, but a level is only done once all the stone blocks on the board are cleared, so each stage has a target rather than just a score.
Every stage needs a bit of forethought, since a badly placed piece can sit right in the way of the stones you need to remove. The question the game asks is how many levels you can beat. It is part of the Puzzle section here, and the stone boards fit a phone screen as well as a monitor.
How 1000 Blocks works
Drag a shape onto the grid. Filling lines clears blocks, as in other puzzles of this kind, and your target on each level is to get rid of every stone block. Think about where each shape goes, because space on the grid is limited and clutter makes the stones harder to reach.
Tips for clearing the stones
- Aim your lines through the rows and columns that hold stone blocks.
- Leave room for awkward shapes before the grid fills up.
- Don't chase points on lines that do nothing for the stone blocks.
